Ask Miss Belfry--Copyright Chris M. Carmichael

Miss Belfry reads advice articles on the internet, too, and thinks that while they are well-meaning, they are wrong. Thus, she takes it upon herself to answer your pressing questions, in her own sarcastic way.

Why is the guy I like ignoring me?

Miss Belfry Answers:

The truth is no one but he could know (and he might not know). It could be your breath. It could be he is afraid of commitment. It could be he exists only in your mind and you are a brain in a vat on some researcher's lab table.

If Miss Belfry were a certain type of psychotherapist (which...she is not) she might answer your question with a question-- Why are you ignoring you? That is the real question. Go give yourself a big cuddle and take yourself out for ice cream. After you do that, look at yourself in the mirror and say I want to spend the rest of my life with you . Frankly, you will live with yourself for the rest of your life and you might as well enjoy it.

About Miss Belfry: Miss Belfry lives in a parallel universe not far from Buckingham Palace. When she is not imparting wisdom to the unwashed masses or caring for her belfry bats, she works as a distracting muse to an American writer.

Readers ask pressing questions and Miss Belfry pulls answers from her... storehouse of knowledge and wisdom. To ask Miss Belfry a question, you may write to her at missbelfry@readersmuse.com By sending your question to Miss Belfry, you grant Miss Belfry permission to answer the question as sarcastically as she pleases on this site, or anywhere else in the universe. Keep questions clean, please.
